The IRS started sending the third Economic Impact Payments to eligible individuals on March 12, 2021. We continue to send Economic Impact Payments weekly in 2021 as 2020 tax returns are processed.

Why is my IRS stimulus check taking so long?

If you don’t sign up for direct deposit after your initial payment is returned to the IRS, it will take even longer to receive your third stimulus check. In that case, the IRS won’t reissue your payment until it receives an updated address (e.g., by filing a 2020 tax return or notifying the IRS).

Are we gonna get another stimulus check?

The chances of another direct stimulus check in 2021 are slim to none. The IRS is issuing millions of families monthly cash payments through the expanded child tax credit, with the latest check going out on Aug. 13.
