How is the location of a tile updated?

Tile locations are updated using the Bluetooth Low Energy connection between the Tile and the Tile application. The Tile App “discovers” the Tile using the Bluetooth signal and then uses the services of the iOS or Android device to update the location information for that Tile.

Why is my live tile database not working?

It was due to a corrupted live tile database. I found a guide online which walked you through how to create a new database and overwrite the existing but it needed some help. This is my attempt to rewrite the how-to to include more information and be easier to follow for those experiencing similar issues.

Do you need to refresh tiles in import mode?

Datasets in Import mode do not require a separate tile refresh because the tiles are refreshed automatically during the next scheduled data refresh. If you are still having an issue, contact support to investigate further.

When do I get my retile tile notification?

What to do if your tile is out of range?

Reboot your Tile by pressing and holding down the Tile button for 10 seconds. If the green Find button is missing, it means your Tile is not within Bluetooth range of your device. Once your Tile is within range, the Find button will automatically pop up. If your Tile is lost, tap Notify When Found so other members of the Tile Network can help.

Are there any tile that can be replaced?
