Getting Started

  1. Insert the software DVD (included) into your computer’s CD/DVD drive. The setup window should open automatically.
  2. Double-click on Setup and follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
  3. Once installation of both the software and samples have successfully completed, you may open the software.

How do I connect my EWI4000s to my computer?

Plug a MIDI cable from the MIDI IN of the external sound module while the EWI4000s works as MIDI Controller. Or plug a MIDI cable from the MIDI IN of your Computer for editing the internal Sounds with the Sound Editor software. Plug an audio cable from the input of a Mixer or Amplifier in here.

How do I set up an EWI?

To do this, turn your EWI on and press and hold the “SETUP” button. Use the “INTERVAL” and “HOLD” side keys to scroll through till the display shows “PC”. When you release the “SETUP” button, your display should show “dp”. If there is a dot showing between the “d” and “p” then this setting is “on”.
