Can you use FoodSaver for sous vide?
Our unique system takes the air out and keeps it out by creating a durable, airtight Heat Seal. FoodSaver® Bags and FoodSaver® rolls are simmer safe for sous vide cooking. The bags should never be used to cook raw foods.

Will any vacuum sealer work for sous vide?
Are Vacuum Sealers Necessary for Sous Vide? No. However, vacuum sealers are recommended for sous vide for a multitude of reasons which we’ll dive into below. Essentially, you are perfectly capable of cooking sous vide with just your sous vide machine, sous vide container, and ziplock bags.

The Sous Vide Setting is designed to offer an ideal vacuum and seal level for foods that will be cooked by the Sous Vide method. If you do not have this setting, do not fret! You can still successfully Sous Vide cook using FoodSaver Heat-Seal bags and the standard vacuum seal process.
